Initially
- Coryza symptoms - rhinorrhoea, cough, fever
- Poor feeding
- Drowsy
- Seizure
- Reduced level of consciousness
- Nausea and vomiting
Followed by
- CNS symptoms
* Photophobia
* Headache
* Neck stiffness
-> for <2mo, ask about irritability when nappy changed
* Symptoms of raised ICP
-> Raised frontenelle
-> Papilloedema
* Positive Kernig's sign
- Rash
