- May infect wounds, burns, respiratory tract, urinary tract
Klebsiella
- Large non-motile
- Encapsulated
- Lac+
K. pneumoniae and K. oxytoca can cause
- Necrotising lobar pneumonia (in alcoholic, diabetic, COPD pt)
- UTI, bacteremia in hospitalised pt
Serratia
S. marcescens cause
- Lower respiratory tract infection
- Urinary tract infection
Proteus, Providencia, Morganella
- Urinary tract, wound infections, pneumonias, sepsis
